Brief note

On two published wartime letters the signature is Dmitry.

  • Surname and exact relationship to the Samsonov family are not established for publication.
  • Do not invent a surname.
  • Do not merge with Timofey Timofeevich (Timosha / Tyoma).
  • Do not identify as father Timofey Petrovich.

The letters address parents and sister Tanya — they sit in the family notebook, but the author identity remains open.
