Brief note
On two published wartime letters the signature is Dmitry.
- Surname and exact relationship to the Samsonov family are not established for publication.
- Do not invent a surname.
- Do not merge with Timofey Timofeevich (Timosha / Tyoma).
- Do not identify as father Timofey Petrovich.
The letters address parents and sister Tanya — they sit in the family notebook, but the author identity remains open.
